Well, we’ve been in a series on the two powers in heaven heresy for a few weeks now. Funny enough, we haven’t learned much about two powers. Hopefully, you’ve learned a lot about Jewish apocalyptic literature and Jewish Platonic theology, which are two important, but totally different strands within first-century Judaism. Now, today, we’re focusing on what became the mainstream of Judaism. We’re going to take some time to explore the Mishnah and the Tosefta. What is the Mishnah or oral Torah? What is the Tosefta? When were they written? What do they have to tell us about the two powers idea? Today we’re going to encounter the minim for the first time. Who were the minim? Get answers to these questions in today’s Restitutio Podcast.
