And you are listening to Restitutio podcast that seeks to recover authentic Christianity and live it out today. 00:12 Over our last two episodes, we've been hearing from Pastor Bob Carden on the topic of healing and walking by the Spirit today. 00:21 I'd like to. 00:21 Play out a sermon by Cardin successor, Garrett Bova, who was the lead pastor now at Align Ministries in Naperville, IL, just outside of Chicago. 00:31 Well, now I realize his message will challenge some of you to consider speaking prophetically in a way that may be foreign to you. All I ask is that you hear him out. He talks about the power of words of encouragement and speaking blessings over people. 00:49 And to be honest, the most striking fact about his message was how many biblical references he brought up of people doing just this. 01:01 Perhaps this is a forgotten practice that we need to reclaim in Christianity Today. 01:07 Yeah. 01:08 Here now is Episode 573 prophetic words of encouragement with Pastor Garrett Bova. 01:22 It is a joy to be with you guys. My heart for you this morning is that everybody leaves here with. 01:31 A new level of encouragement with carrying a new level of empowerment, not just for your sake, but for everybody else's sake around you. What I see is I see is I see revival fires breaking out in your circles of influence in your churches, in your homes, and in your ministries and your workplaces because of what you carry. 01:53 So I'm getting ready and it's New Year's Eve. I'm in the bathroom and I'm doing my hair. And this night we've got a worship, prayer and praise night at the church. So we're kind of getting, you know, ready. Both the family runs. 02:08 A little bit. 02:08 Late, sometimes I'm I'm doing my hair. My daughter Liliana comes into. 02:14 The bathroom. 02:16 Lilia's, 11, she's first year of junior high, and she's just like in that phase of taking a lot longer to get ready. And this particular night, she's putting on some makeup. She's, you know, getting. 02:29 Didn't it all going? 02:32 And this is new for her. And she comes in the bathroom for like, an hour and a half. And and I'm. I'm kind of preoccupied. 02:38 My my hair. 02:39 'S gotta look good. I'm like, you know, you're just throwing the gel in there. Pastor Victor knows I've been in there too for a while. She learned it from somebody. 02:47 So she comes in. 02:50 And I look. 02:50 And I go wow. 02:52 You got a lot going on. 02:58 Let me tell you what you don't say to your 11 year old daughter. 03:03 If you want to encourage her. 03:07 My poor little girl, just I see her continents just deflate. 03:14 And that's not what I meant. I meant like, wow, you got, like, you're doing a lot looks. You looks good. Like, you're beautiful. Didn't come off that way. 03:24 My words just smashed. 03:27 Her. 03:29 And so I'm playing recovery now. I'm. I'm going in a room. I'm like heck with the gel, you know, like honey, give me a hug. Like, you know, like it's not what? It's not what Daddy meant. I mean, you look beautiful, you know, and. 03:40 Danny comes to the rescue. 03:43 Thankfully, she says, honey, let me tell you a story. 03:48 Daddy told me that same very thing. 03:51 And I'm like ohh. 03:54 Shoot. I'm like Lord, I thought I carry encouragement. What's going on? And I'm like, that's not what I meant. And I'm like, you know, so I'm. I'm backtracking now. What I'm saying is guys, do you know how important our words are? 04:12 They're incredibly important. Our words can either inflate or deflate. Our words can create, or they can destroy. When I was a kid, I was a chubby boy, chubby's easy that that's that's a light way to put. I was just. I was. I was. 04:28 Really overweight as a kid. 04:30 And and I I played football, so it was kind of like it was like it was. It was good to be overweight, it was it. 04:36 Was a good. 04:36 Thing but still. 04:38 You know, I I had, you know, you get comments and stuff like that at school as a young. 04:42 Boy, and it's just like. 04:43 Ah, you know, it's just not. That's not a blessing to receive some of these things and. 04:49 My father is my one of my biggest encouragers has been my whole life. 04:54 And I'm an older brother, and I remember I was. I was just being unloving to my brother, my younger brother one day. 05:00 I think we were cutting lawns and I'm using the lawn mower. The the rider and I'm not I'm I'm letting. 05:06 My little brother, do all the hard work. 05:09 And my dad sees this and he's fired up because he's sticking up for my little brother. He goes. 05:16 Man. 05:17 He's like. 05:19 Get your fat *** off that lawnmower. 05:23 And I was. 05:23 Like. 05:25 Because that's what some of the kids at school would say. 05:32 Hurt. 05:35 Sometimes these words and the things that have been spoken over us, whether good or bad. 05:42 It actually shapes us. You know what I'm saying? We actually carry some of those things with us. 05:49 It actually takes on flesh. 05:52 And the beautiful thing is. 05:54 That we have a God who has spoken a word into our lives and he's desiring to shape and frame us with what he has spoken. 06:04 We live in this time where God has given us this word that he has spoken to us. 06:10 And we have to undo. 06:13 Unlearn unassociate with some of the things that have been spoken over us by other people, by ourselves, throughout our past. 06:25 See a breakthrough verse, a breakthrough word that I got from the Lord when I started seeking Jesus out. Christ Jesus out 15 years ago was that I am a new creation in Christ. 06:40 The oldest passed away, and behold the new has come. 06:45 2nd Corinthians 517. 06:48 Whoever is in Christ, that means whoever has accepted Christ. 06:53 Is a new creation. It's like looking outside this morning when we walked over from the lodge, we came over here. Everything you look out in the distance is beautiful. It's pure, it's white, it's gorgeous. 07:06 It's fresh. 07:08 And that's what God says about you. 07:12 In Christ, the oldest passed away. 07:16 All the green grass that we saw, all the beautiful colors and all those things that actually wasn't too beautiful. It was more like Brown. But that's passed away, and now we've got this white landscape. 07:29 See, that's how he sees each of us in Christ. 07:32 And he's inviting us. 07:34 To see ourselves that same way. 07:38 You're new. 07:39 So he's done, is he's spoken a word over us. He's spoken something over us. 07:46 By his word, he's creating something in US. 07:52 It would do us well. 07:55 Now, as followers of Jesus. 07:59 The one in whom the fullness of God was. 08:00 Pleased to dwell. 08:02 And God was speaking life through him. Like Jesus said, I will only speak Johnny. I only speak what I've heard with the father. 08:12 And I will proclaim what I've seen the father teach me. 08:17 So his ear was to the father and he's speaking life. He's speaking life. He's speaking life. He's speaking life. He's speaking life. 08:27 You see, when you look at the records of what Jesus was speaking and how he was acting, he was restoring. He was speaking with the language of restoration. 08:39 Bringing us back to our original design before SIN entered into this world and started tainting us and disfiguring before hurt came into the world. He's bringing you back. 08:51 To who you and I were designed to be. 08:55 2nd Corinthians Chapter 5 I read a part of that verse. It's 517 through 20. I want to read. 09:00 This to if you. 09:01 Have your Bibles go ahead and pull it up. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away. Behold the new has come. All this is from God. 09:12 Who, through Christ, reconciled us to himself and gave us a Ministry of reconciliation. 09:20 That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God, making his appeal through us. We implore you, on behalf of Christ. 09:40 Be reconciled to God. 09:43 God was bringing back his people, his creation us. 09:49 Through Jesus Christ. 09:51 And it says those that he's brought back now he entrusts us with this Ministry of Reconciliation. 09:59 This Ministry of Reconciliation, this word there it it means to exchange. 10:06 It means to restore to favor. 10:11 I'm gonna say this again. You have been given a. If you follow Jesus Christ, you have been given a personal ministry. 10:20 To restore people back to favor, to exchange the lives, the words, the situations, the circumstances that have shaped them, the hurts. You are there. We are there. I am there to exchange that and bring them back to. 10:40 This position of favor to restore favor into the. 10:45 So when we speak about words of encouragement, when I speak about words of life, because we all know that there has been a lot of death that has been spoken over each of us in various different seasons of life, sometimes again we even speak it over ourselves. But in Christ, if I'm speaking in Christ, if I'm in alignment with my Lord Jesus Christ. 11:07 I'm able to hear. 11:09 From the father and I'm able to just like Jesus, speak what I hear the father saying. 11:15 I'm able to speak what I've seen the father doing and what. 11:20 He's taught me. 11:21 Either through scripture. 11:23 Or just through the Holy Spirit. 11:26 As I spent time with him. 11:30 We get to partake in this exchange. 11:34 That's powerful stuff. 11:37 To be able to with a word. 11:39 Help create. 11:41 A new platform for someone to grow into. 11:46 To partner with God to bring someone into their purpose. This is amazing. 11:54 This generation is searching right now and I know it. I hear it. I see it all the time. 12:00 For their purpose. 12:02 What's my purpose? 12:04 What's my purpose in this life? 12:07 I'm just trying to find my purpose. 12:10 I'm gonna tell you your purpose will not be found outside of serving people. Your purpose will not be found outside of partnering with God and blessing somebody. 12:23 Service to people is great. 12:26 Service to people is great. 12:30 That's a blessing. 12:32 What I believe is the bigger blessing now is the partner of God and to speak life over that person. 12:39 To impart courage into that person. You know that that's that's encouraging. 12:46 I want to impart power into you. 12:51 You know what that is? That's empowerment. I want to empower you. 12:57 I want to encourage you. 13:00 Why? Because my Lord has empowered me. 13:04 And he has encouraged me. 13:07 To do the tough things in life. 13:11 To step out into who he's made me to be. 13:16 I just find that it's so interesting that who he has made me to be is actually tied to. 13:22 Serving, encouraging, empowering those around us. And look, I have a full time job. This is I'm not just like a walk around encourager. My wife and I, we lead a ministry. So we passed her at church right outside Chicago. So, I mean, there's a lot we do. 13:36 But through it all. 13:39 I understand that I'm a spiritual being with an earthly assignment. 13:43 In Christ. And that's not just me, because I'm special. That's everybody who's in Christ, who's accepted Christ Jesus as the Lord. You have been anointed in Christ. 13:54 Anointing is the divine empowerment to accomplish a task or an office. 14:00 So in Christ, you've got what you got. 14:03 You got all you need. 14:06 You have been anointed. 14:09 There is a bit of prophetic language when we endeavor to empower people. When we endeavor to speak with the father. Speaking now, I'm not saying we're all prophets in this room, but what I am saying is we have the spirit of the Prophet, Christ Jesus, living inside of us. 14:31 And so when you hear what the father saying. 14:35 And you perceive what the father is saying over somebody. 14:41 I'd like to propose it's it's probably prophetic. 14:45 Whether you know it or not. 14:48 Sometimes it's really clear to me what the Lord is saying. 14:52 Really clear to me. Sometimes I just get a feeling. 14:58 But I like to. 14:59 Believe that if my heart is in the right place with the father, if the aim of my charge is love. 15:05 That comes from a pure heart and a sincere faith. And when I'm looking at that person and my heart is to love them, which is to will the good of another. 15:14 And I speak. 15:16 I'd like to believe that's not coming from the camp of the enemy. I'd like to believe that's coming from the camp of the Kingdom. 15:23 So there's definitely prophetic language here. 15:25 Because we have Holy Spirit in us and acts Chapter 2 Jesus goes to the cross, crucified, raised the Holy Spirit. Now is poured forth into people. 15:38 Days after. 15:40 And they're speaking in tongues. The glorifying God, the Holy Spirit, is in these men. 15:47 And people are like, what's going on? What's happening? These dudes are. 15:51 Drunk. 15:53 This speaks some crazy stuff. 15:55 And Peter says he's like, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, let me tell you this. 15:58 Yes. 16:01 And in the last days it shall be declares God, or God declares that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophecy and your young men shall see visions. And your old men shall dream dreams even on my male servants and my female servants in those days. 16:21 I will pour out my spirit. 16:24 And they shall prophecy. 16:31 That last part where Peter said, and they shall profit. So what he's doing is he's quoting from Joel. 16:37 Chapter 2. But it's interesting at the very end, though, he says, and they shall prophecy. That's not in the. 16:41 Original in Joel. 16:43 What he's doing is putting emphasis to professor. 16:48 Now what I'm saying is we have words of life in. 16:50 Us from the father. 16:52 We get to speak because the Holy Spirit lives in you. 16:56 What I see is as I. 16:57 See as as growing and trusting. 17:00 That as our hearts are in alignment with the Lord, the Lord is just going to. 17:03 Be flowing through us. 17:06 And there will be some prophetic language coming out. 17:10 Jesus gives us this perfect example when he meets Peter for the very first time. 17:17 He's like, yeah, you're named Simon. OK. Yeah. I'm actually going to change your name. I'm actually. 17:23 Going to call you Cephus. 17:25 Which means Peter, which means rock. 17:30 He's speaking life over him. He's speaking a new identity over him. He's speaking a new thing over him. 17:36 He's empowering him. 17:40 See, this was also prophetic because. 17:42 Peter wasn't a man who was a rock at that point in time. 17:47 The importance of a name, the importance of a name. 17:50 And this man Peter. 17:53 Or Simon. 17:55 Comes to Jesus means Jesus and Jesus like. Yeah, I'm gonna. 17:58 Call you Cephus actually. Like who does that? 18:02 Yeah. I'm gonna call you Cephus. Which means Peter, which means rock. 18:07 You see, he was Jesus. 18:08 Was speaking the identity of Peter. 18:12 Like I'm. 18:12 Gonna be a. 18:13 Rock man. Like that's like Lord. Give me a name like that, you know. 18:19 What's interesting is Peter wasn't rock, though. 18:23 In the five census realm. 18:25 He wasn't wrong. 18:27 We know he denied Jesus. 18:29 Three times. 18:33 He didn't become a rock. His identity in what was spoken over him. 18:38 This new identity wasn't realized until. 18:42 Some time after, after Jesus was crucified, resurrected. 18:48 And now when Peter quotes that after the Holy Spirit fell, now he's starting to. 18:54 Come live. 18:56 What Jesus had spoken to him was starting to come alive. What I'm saying is there are things words spoken over you. You can receive words of encouragement. 19:07 That may not be realized just yet in your life, but rest assured, if it's spoken which God created. 19:16 The Lord is looking for people who's going to partner with him to be his mouthpiece here on this earth. 19:24 That's us, who we're in Christ. 19:29 That is looking for people like Jesus to be able to speak a new identity over somebody, even though it's different than what they've previously experienced in their life. 19:40 But he's looking for people to join him in helping people level up in their. 19:43 Life. 19:45 Grow into the calling. 19:50 But it's going to take somebody's voice. 19:52 That's going to take somebody who's got an ear to the father who's listening to the father. 19:59 To not be focused on themselves, either to be outward focused on another. 20:05 Bianca LED a great workshop yesterday who was in that I was in that I was super blessed by. 20:10 That. 20:11 The first question you asked is what's stopping you from living your purpose and I thought to myself, I said, well sometimes what stops me from living my purpose is I'm inward focused. 20:22 I'm worried about me and better yet, when I walk into a room so I'm like, OK, so my purpose, I know that I'm. 20:29 To bless others. 20:32 OK, that's my purpose in life to bless others in Christ. 20:36 What stops that is when I walk into a room and I'm thinking about me and how I'm projecting how I'm coming off, see that my focus is like this, and then the Lord showed me, he says. Because I know this with the. 20:49 Lord, now that. 20:51 A lot of times when you get a lie, obviously it's a counterfeit for the truth, and so he's just show me how to, like, flip certain things. Right. So OK, so if I'm walking into a room and I'm worried about me, I'm looking inward and I'm worried about how I'm projecting out. What's the opposite of that in the relational sense? The opposite of me is you. 21:11 Right, So what if I walked into a room and started looking at you? And what if I stopped learning about how I'm projecting the outside appearance and I started looking at you and I looked at the inside of you. 21:24 That's the opposite of walking into a room. Worried about you, how and how you're coming off. 21:30 Right now I walk into a room. 21:34 And look at you. 21:36 And now you're projecting, but what's inside of you? 21:39 See thus wisdom. 21:42 With what the father wants. 21:43 To. 21:43 Do. 21:44 God likes working with that. The power of Holy Spirit likes flowing with that kind of heart. 21:49 With that kind of alignment. 21:52 The words we speak are just so powerful. 21:56 We talked about Matthew 5 with the Beatitudes. 22:00 Blessed are blessed, are blessed, are blessed. It are all throughout Matthew 5, right after that. Check this out. Now he's talking to the multitudes. Jesus is talking to the multitudes. These are the people that were the outcast, the unhealthy. 22:16 Maybe the uneducated, the unwealthy? 22:20 And he's talking. 22:21 To these people, the the rejects that the religious rulers. 22:26 Look down upon. 22:29 And after Jesus says Blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed, blessed are you. 22:34 Then he goes, he says. 22:36 You are. 22:38 The salt of the Earth you are. He spoke identity of him. You are the salt of the earth. You are the light of the world. 22:51 Whoa. He just. 22:52 Empowered them. These are the. 22:55 People that are just the lowly. 22:57 The outcast, the ones who don't fit in. 23:01 The ones that don't feel like they're good enough, Jesus comes under them and says this is who you are. I'm gonna speak truth. I'm gonna speak life over you. This is who you are. 23:15 The words we speak are so powerful. 23:20 Who? 23:23 Timothy 118. 23:26 Paul's writing to Timothy, his young leader. 23:31 And he says, this charge I entrust you. 23:36 Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies. Uh, according with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you wage the good warfare. 23:48 Don't miss it. 23:50 These things that were spoken over you, these prophecies that were spoken over you use those things for the war, for the fight that you're in. 23:59 What has been spoken over you, your identity, the ways that you've been empowered, the ways you've been encouraged, the anointing that was spoken over you, the gifts that we saw the Lord doing in your life. What we saw in you, the power that rests upon you. Use that as ammo for the war that you're in. Everyone seen the movies? 24:19 Where guys like, you know he's it's an action movie. 24:21 He's like, clap. 24:22 Clap, clap, clap. He's shooting. He's shooting. 24:23 And then he like he's. 24:24 Like click click. He's out ammo. 24:27 And then he's got a buddy. He's like his. His back is to him. He's like hey. 24:30 Bro, here you go. Here's another clip. And he's. 24:31 Like, yeah, pop, pop, pop. You guys maybe not being in the action movies like I am. 24:36 But we've all, we all get it. 24:38 Right. He's like, wow, thanks for that guy. He just gave you that ammo. Cause now I can keep fighting. 24:45 This is what Paul's saying is Timothy. He's like every word that was spoken over you. That's what you use for your weapon. 24:53 So when the enemy comes at you and tries to get you to think contrary to what God has already spoken over. 24:58 You. 25:00 Which is for your glory. 25:04 You use what? 25:05 We've spoken. 25:07 The truth of who you are to fight the lie against who the world says you are. 25:14 What I love about that is that it wasn't just the Timothy and God thing. 25:19 You have boys like Paul. 25:20 Step in and be a mouthpiece and the other elders that spoke over him. 25:26 That tells me we get to play too. 25:30 We get to play too. 25:32 We get to party, we get to Co labor like we read. 25:38 In second Corinthians chapter 5 you get to Co labor with the Lord because he has given us that Ministry of restoring people back to their favor to exchange it. 25:48 But people gotta. 25:48 Have something to exchange it with. You know I'm saying. 25:56 I want to equip us in this. 26:00 It's actually pretty easy, but it does take a developing of a new muscle. 26:05 The reason why I wanted to identity first with us is because we cannot give out what we don't have right? Like if you don't believe. 26:13 That you're anointed in Christ. If you don't believe you have the Holy Spirit and you have a grace and a gift upon your life, it's really challenging. 26:21 To be able to. 26:22 Call out and to exhort and to build up somebody else around you. 26:29 So we gotta see. 26:30 Ourselves in this light, it's not a boasting thing, but you gotta be really we the Lord wants us to be so confident with what he has put in us. 26:42 There's nothing hurt. It hurts my heart more than to see our kids declare that they are weaker or less than in an area that Danny and I know that they are like they're thriving. Like, that's a grace on your life. 26:58 It hurts my heart to him like you're not a bad quarterback because the kid said you were a bad quarterback. Like you could throw the ball on a rope, you could hit it, you could throw it anywhere you put your mind to it. But just because one kid said you're a bad quarterback at camp like. 27:14 Don't let that deflate you. 27:20 So we have to believe who we are so that we can be able to. 27:25 Then give it out. 27:26 And when we start giving out, that's when we realized we're in that flow of our purpose. Like, yeah, this is what I was meant for. This is what I was meant for. 27:34 I just see us. 27:35 Leaving here with this mindset of. 27:38 I'm gonna be the most encouraging person in the room. 27:42 What if we? 27:42 All left here and said I may not. It may not be crystal clear to me what the Lord is saying about that individual, but I'm I endeavor to be the most encouraging person in that room. 27:58 We can join in the language the frequency of heaven. 28:03 When we speak life. 28:06 I see Jesus say you are. You are, you are. 28:10 God says you are a new creation to me, he says. You are blessed. He says you are anointed in Christ. He says you are a new creation. He says. You are my son now. He says you are in right relationship to me. He says you are forgiven. He says you are empowered. 28:27 Enjoying his language? What if we spoke to each other? 28:31 And said. 28:34 Jerry. 28:36 You are. 28:37 Gifted. 28:39 To be able to read Scripture and discern and understand, to be able to provide it to God's people, unlike anyone I've ever seen, you are incredibly gifted. You see that you are. 28:51 You are. 28:53 You are. 28:56 And here's our our practical application. What if we just looked at somebody? See, this is what I do when I talk with people. 29:02 And I interact with people. 29:04 And I say they're talking, but I'm also in tune with the Father because I'm in. 29:09 Alignment with Christ. 29:11 And I said, God, what are you saying? Right. 29:12 Now over them. Ohh. 29:14 What if we asked that what if we asked that when we're in conversation with each other? 29:18 Instead of worrying about what you're going to. 29:20 Say next or whatever. 29:22 If you got a booger in your nose, whatever you like, you're not worried. 29:24 About those things. 29:25 But you're worried about God. What? What are you saying to them right now? 29:30 What's sticking out in their life to me right now? What's something that I can? 29:34 Look at as I see them as I hear them. 29:37 That I get to see your fingerprint on. 29:42 What about their future? God? What? What are they carrying right now? That's like extra ordinary. 29:49 It's extraordinary. What's different? God. And then you are. 29:53 That. 29:55 And just call it out because I I'm going to tell you right now that a lot of a lot of those things that literally we carry that are extraordinary, that God has made uniquely divine. The grace that we each carry, that differs from one another's. I have found that those are the very things that we think are our biggest weaknesses. 30:18 And so the Lord is looking for ministers such as us to be able to. 30:24 Step in and help draw out the gold in people. 30:30 Bring the surface the gold that's in people bring to surface what we think. 30:37 For thinking with the Lord. 30:40 Could be of great value and benefit. 30:44 It's a prayer I pray often, I say father, think your thoughts with my thoughts. 30:50 You can pray that you can. 30:50 Ask. 30:51 Him that think your thoughts with my thoughts. 30:53 And then expect it. 30:56 And let my thoughts be your thoughts, Father. 31:01 So as I'm in conversation, as you're in conversation with people. 31:06 Expect that he's thinking his thoughts with your thoughts. 31:10 And he's going to show you gold that can be drawn out. 31:14 And have the courage to speak into it. Have the courage to call it out. You can use words like you are. You can use words like. 31:23 I see. 31:25 Because if you're thinking with the Lord. 31:28 He's a visionary. 31:31 I've been pastoring for 15 years now. 31:36 This is never a heartside of mine. 31:39 But my pastor. 31:41 15 years ago. 31:43 He said. I see. 31:47 I see you holding a fellowship at your home. 31:54 I was like what I like, bro. I don't wanna do that. 31:59 I got stuff to do, man like like. 32:02 That's not on my radar, no. 32:07 But what he did was he planted a seed. 32:11 And he didn't say, hey, this is prophetic. 32:13 I got a prophetic word for you. 32:16 But tracing back, I know that it was prophetic. 32:21 Because I've seen the fruit of what has occurred now. 32:25 Since then? 32:28 I had that that word that was spoken. 32:30 Over me, I see you doing this. 32:33 And it wasn't like Garrett. I gotta sit you down. I gotta you know, we gotta have a real heavy on this one. 32:40 But I heard the Lord through. 32:41 Him, and even though I didn't want to do it. 32:47 I felt that there was something there. 32:49 And so I pursued it. I pursued it. I didn't want to do it, felt uncomfortable. 32:55 But someone gave me a grid. Someone created something in my imagination about what they said. 33:04 And we've been pastoring since 10 years straight, Danny and I. 33:07 Had a home fellowship at our House every Wednesday, 10 years straight. 33:13 That was the start. 33:15 Of the call in our lives, the pastor. That's because one man said. I see you doing this. 33:21 I believe is another word. 33:26 You could start your sentences with that. 33:28 When you're talking with somebody, I believe. 33:32 I believe breakthrough is coming for you. 33:36 I believe your best days are yet ahead. 33:40 I really do. I believe that. 33:42 That's not flowery speech. That's not me just being a rah rah. That's me saying, hey, I'm going to attach my faith. 33:51 To the fact that God is going to do that for you. I'm gonna stand in the gap for you. 33:58 On that one. 34:02 I believe so. You we can use words when we're talking with people. When we go out. 34:08 We can be intentional with using the words like. 34:11 You are. 34:13 I see. 34:15 I believe. 34:17 Dot dot dot. 34:19 Eli the priest. This is so interesting with Samuel and Hannah is the mom. Hannah is Baron. She can't have a child. And she's weeping at the temple, weeping at the temple, praying to God. 34:37 And this dude, Eli the priest sees her. 34:41 She's playing under her breath. He thinks she's drunk and he's like woman. Get outta here. Like, what are you doing? Like, stop drinking. 34:47 So much like it's. 34:49 And she's like, well, hold on. She's like, I'm not. I'm not drunk. 34:53 I've just been pouring my soul out to the Lord. 34:58 I've been praying for this breakthrough. I've been praying for a child. 35:04 And Eli, the priest at the time. 35:08 Tells you this. 35:10 He says go in peace. 35:12 And the God of Israel, grant your petition that you have made to him. 35:17 And she said let your servant find favor in your eyes in your eyes. 35:25 Then the woman went her way, ate, and her face was no longer sad and right time she can. 35:31 See. 35:33 And Boris, son, they called him Samuel. 35:37 What's interesting to me is. 35:39 This priest. 35:41 Now a priest is a man who represents God is one who carries the presence of God is one who ministers. The people is one who stands in the gap between God and man. 35:55 Jesus, through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, has called us Now a royal priesthood. Anyone that belongs to him. So we carry that same office. What's interesting is that. 36:06 Eli was just like, yeah, you know, I'm gonna stand in the gap here, let it be done. 36:12 See you. 36:15 It's like, yeah, I bless you with that desire that you have. 36:18 I bless you with that. 36:25 And happened. 36:28 How much more are those of us? 36:29 Who have Holy Spirit. 36:31 And a divine connection to the. 36:33 Father through Jesus Christ. 36:36 Be able to stand in the gap and say yeah, let it be done. I believe that that's going to happen. 36:43 Now no longer fear. 36:46 And what about the people who received the word because some of us have a hard time receiving encouragement? 36:52 I understand that. 36:54 Let's be like Hannah. 36:56 Where? She says. 36:58 Well, let me find that favor. Amen. I'm good. 37:00 With that, yeah. 37:02 Yeah. 37:04 A rock. 37:05 I don't believe it, but let it be done. Let it be done to me according to your word, Jesus. I'll take that. I don't see it yet, but I'll take it. 37:18 I'll take that favor. I'll take that exchange. 37:23 A mentor. Some college athletes, Dan and I, we land in Vegas and we get a call from this starting quarterback of one of the teams and he likes playing with me right before he goes out. 37:33 On. 37:33 The field loves playing with me. 37:37 And I said. 37:39 I see you. 37:40 Scoring on the 1st drive and I see you giving glory to God. I see you pointing your hand up like this and giving glory to God. 37:49 He's all hype. He like that. 37:53 We get into the hotel. 37:56 In Vegas for event we get in the hotel and we're watching the game on my phone. 38:01 Sure enough. 38:03 3 plays in he's like. 38:08 And he's like, yeah, he's running like this. We're watching on TV. And we're like, yeah, just as we saw it, just as we saw it. Lord, did I hear the Lord said, and I was like, God, let's just. 38:19 Bless him like. 38:20 Well, what are you thinking here? And I'm just using my imagination with the Lord. I'm like, God, I I see him doing that. 38:27 I see him doing. I spoke it. 38:31 And it happened. 38:34 So I told you I have a a job and work for a hair restoration clinic. So I I deal with a lot of patients throughout the day and and this one patient young man, very successful man, like top entrepreneur or under 30 in Chicagoland, millionaire Young Guy he calls me. 38:54 Regarding hair restoration stuff. 38:58 I start listening to him and I start digging a little deeper. Turns out he's at the hardest point of his life. 39:05 Everything's in jeopardy. He just got slapped with the lawsuit. 39:10 Because some girl said that he did some things that did not take place. So everything's in jeopardy. 39:17 And I tell him. 39:20 This is going to workout for your favor. This is going to be the best thing that's ever happened to you. The Lord is developing you now. 39:29 The Lord is. 39:31 Changing your character, increasing your character, strengthening your character. 39:37 And I'm actually almost. I'm almost jealous that I'm not in this situation because the breakthrough that you're about to receive. 39:45 On the other end of this is going to be massive. I want that breakthrough for you. It's going to happen. I actually want that breakthrough in my life. But you can't get that breakthrough unless you're going through this right now. The Lord is going to be with you. And I said a bunch of other things as the. 40:01 Lord was giving me utterance. 40:04 I'll speak with him a year later. 40:07 And he says you wouldn't believe it. 40:10 Everything you said came to pass. 40:13 Thing you said came to pass every single word you said when you told me. I thought you were nuts, he said. There's no way in hell this could ever happen. 40:24 There's no way I could see that happening. 40:26 I was in the depths of the depths, the darkest of the darkest, and there was no hope. But yet you spoke hope over me. You told me that there was a better day to come. And the words that you spoke over me I held on to those and I told myself those throughout the whole year. 40:44 And it all came to pass, just as you said. 40:50 I'm not a prophet. 40:53 There are those. 40:53 That operate in the the office of a prophet. I'm just a man who's got Holy Spirit. 41:00 I'm just a man. Who? 41:01 Now has the access to God. 41:05 Who knows the hearts of every individual who's got all the hope. That's all the Lord speaks. That's his language. That's the frequency of heaven is hope. 41:16 And I'm just speaking in that. 41:22 Happened on the airport Thursday. When we get it Friday, we're in the airport. We're walking me and Adrian and we see this big dude. Wow. I make eye contact with. We're in the moving walkway. We're just just strolling along like this was this big guy coming this way. And I look at him and I just felt like the divine thing was like, hey, what's up, man? 41:30 Food. 41:42 And he's like, hey. 41:46 Hey, what's up? He's like, hey, where'd you get that coat? And he's, like, hold on. He's like, I just want to follow you guys for a second. So he starts following us. 41:55 Jumps on the moving walkway with us, and we're just talking. Just small talk. I'm getting some insight from. I'm listening to Lord. I'm saying, what are you saying over this man right now? And I heard a couple of words. I heard the word shift. 42:06 I heard the word switch. 42:10 And as I'm listening to him listening to him, he's telling us that. 42:14 He's read the Bible, but stopped at the Gospels. 42:18 And then it's my turn to talk. And I said, I see he's telling me about challenge. I said I see that there is a shift in your life happening right now. 42:28 And I said, I don't know. I'm not saying this is of the Lord, but. 42:31 He's like, oh. 42:33 I know we're like we we feel like I feel like there's a shift in your life happening right now. And I said I bet you were in because I said you probably play football, didn't you? He said. How did you know? I mean that. 42:45 Was easy. That was look this dude. 42:47 Jack, like he's like 6-2. I'm like, well, the Lord told me that one. 42:55 But I said. 42:56 I feel like I've never even said this word. 42:57 I said because it just flowed out of me, I said. I feel like you were a rally man on your team in the huddle and he's like. 43:04 What? 43:05 Said yeah, man. How do you know that? I said. I feel like you're a really man. And I said, but I feel like right now in this season of your life, the Lord is calling you to be his rally man. 43:15 For his team. And he's like, man, I've been holding this backpack. Man. I've been thinking about. That's crazy. You say that? And I said, I feel like you need to. 43:25 There's going to be something the Lord wants to show you in the church epistles, so I want you to start. I'm thinking this boy's read to the Gospels. We should probably start and do to cement in my head real quick. I'm doing like quick math here. I'm like man, maybe so don't go and act right now. I want him to read about himself. I want to read about the annoying thing he has in Christ. 43:44 These, this and so starting the Church of pizza. So I'm like, I want you to start in first Corinthians. 43:50 OK. He's like, OK, I will, I will. 43:52 Will we land? 43:54 I get a text message from. 43:55 Him he's like bro. 44:01 Bro, that verse I was trying to tell you guys about that. 44:05 Has changed my life. 44:07 He's like I've read it and guess what? It's at. It's in first Corinthians. The exact spot you told me to go. 44:14 Bro, everything you said is crazy. It's just landed. 44:19 And here I'm think when I. 44:20 Get the text I'm like ohh. 44:21 Shoot like First Christians is not the start of. 44:23 The church. So like I was like my air. 44:29 But God takes even what we think is broken when we share it with somebody and he uses it for his glory, like if I would have said Romans, it wouldn't have hit him. He wouldn't have had that experience with the Lord that he had. 44:43 It wasn't anything divine. I felt it was just like I'm just being me and I believe I'm using my imagination because I'm like God, let's think. 44:50 Together, how can we bless him? 44:53 See, we speak. 44:56 And the Lord creates the fruit. 45:00 It's an Isaiah. I believe it's Isaiah 56. Don't quote me on that St. Isaiah. 45:07 But what is in Isaiah? 45:10 Is this prophecy that was spoken over Jesus? It's Isaiah 50 verse 4. 45:16 And it says. 45:18 You have given me a tongue. 45:22 As those who have been taught by you. 45:26 So that I can withstand by a word. 45:32 Him who was weary. 45:36 This is about Jesus. 45:39 Receiving a tongue of one who has been taught this, his father. You have given me a tongue. 45:47 Of one who has been taught. 45:49 So when Jesus spoke, it was like, man, we know what camp you're coming from. It's the camp of the Kingdom. You speak indifferent. You're speaking life. You're speaking empowerment so that he would be able to sustain with a word one who is weary. 46:04 I'm going to tell you right now in this generation, there's a lot of people who are weary. 46:09 There's a lot of people who are looking for a word spoken over them. A word of encouragement, a word that can help exchange the narrative that they've been speaking over themselves, a word to exchange the words that have deflated them over their life. 46:28 And you in Christ having access to God being one who can come into the blessing of the presence of God and be taught by him. 46:41 Can speak a different frequency, can speak of that as one who has been. 46:46 Taught by the father. 46:50 So that you can use that word. 46:53 And release it to one who needs it. 46:56 That's taking our blessing from the father and giving it to somebody else. 47:02 God told Joshua. He said you are going to cause the people to inherit the land of which I swore to give to their fathers. In other words, you, Joshua, are going to cause people to inherit the blessing that I've got for them. 47:18 But he said this, he says three times, he says, but be strong and courageous. 47:23 Be strong and courageous. Be strong and courageous. It does take strength. 47:30 It does take courage to be able to step into a space to be able to step in the heart posture. 47:37 That says I want. 47:39 To help you. 47:40 I want to cause you to inherit the blessing that's coming to you. 47:45 We each have that role and responsibility in Christ. 47:49 And I see people rising up in this room that are going to be causing people to inherit the blessing that God has spoken over them and that God has for known that would come their way should they choose him, should they come into alignment with their new identity in Christ, should they come into alignment with the purpose. 48:09 For their lives. 48:11 But he's looking for people that are going to be strong and courageous. 48:22 Well, that brings his message to a close.
